Casually chic, needing little decor to bring out the natural beauty of the Mahakea Estate and it's setting on a perfect slice of North Shore Oahu Beach. The Mahakea Wedding Villas are two of the premier Hawaii Wedding Venues, and are well known for their aloha and hospitality. Maile Weddings and Events has made this our home from their first offering, and we cherish our representation of them!
Intimate groups of 60 or less can save greatly by enjoying a plated, table service or family style meal served on the ocean view lanai. No tenting required!
Larger groups of up to 150 may be accommodated by renting both the Mahakea Estate, and it's sister property adjacent. The lawn, easily accessible to the Estate, can seat up to 150 for a buffet dinner. Tenting for this option is required, but easily arranged through our tenting vendor. Our 10% wedding planner commission will be passed to you, our clients, as an added benefit to your reserving your planning services through Maile Weddings and Events.

STANDARD WEDDING ESTATE VENUE PRICING: VENUE UP TO 50: $1500. VENUE 51 - 100: $2500. VENUE 101 - 150: $3500. VENUE 151 - 250: $4500. A required minimum 5 nights' stay vacation stay with Venue from April - August Minimum 4 nights' stay with Venue from September - March One week stay during all Holiday periods required. Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, and Labor Day require a 7 night stay. The Mahakea Estate is a licensed State of Hawaii vacation rental.
GENERAL TERMS -
VENUE CLEANING WITH STAY: $400. VENUE DAMAGE DEPOSIT: An Event Liability policy is required - 1m per occurance, 2m aggregate, with an alcohol rider if alcohol is being served. Insurance may be obtained through your homeowners policy, car insurance or Maile will recommend a resource. A typical policy for 50 guest is $100., one for 150 is $200. This is only an estimate, and a specific quotation will need to be made based on your event date and size. NO event under any circumstances may take place without a policy.
VACATION STAY: Main House $1500. per night depending on the season Minimum 4-5 nights with Venue Minimum 5 nights w/o Venue VACATION STAY CLEANING: $700. VACATION STAY DAMAGE DEPOSIT: $5000. payable by check only, please, 30 days from your event.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS: For groups wanting to host an event greater than 60 guests including a seated meal, the Mahakea Villa II must be rented in tandem, and both lawn spaces used. The lawn of Mahakea Villa II offers space for tenting to cover up to 150 guests seated. In general, groups over 60 will be ideally accommodated by renting Mahakea Wedding Villa I &II or using the front lanai of Villa I, which does not have an ocean view.
RENTAL OF MAHAKEA WEDDING VILLAS I & II
VENUE ONLY UP TO UP TO 50: $2000. VENUE ONLY 51 - 100: $2750. VENUE ONLY 101 - 150: $4000. VENUE ONLY 151 - 250: $4500. VENUE ONLY CLEANING: $500. VENUE CLEANING WITH STAY: $500.

TO THE TRADE: Maile Weddings and Events has been named the official Event Management team at the Mahakea Wedding Villas.
A Maile Site Coordinator is required to be on site during every Event held. Venue fees are inclusive of this requirement.

SIZE OF EVENT: The owners request no more than 150 guests total when renting both Villa I alone, and 200 for Villa I & II. Limited amplified music, until 10 pm during the week, 12 am Friday and Saturdays. ALL exterior amplified music must be turned off from 10 pm to 12 am. A Maile Site representative must be present from the arrival of the first Vendors until the Event ending.
REFUND POLICY: All sales are final. Refunds are only given in following circumstances: 1) The home becomes unfit and no equivalent substitute can be located 2) The home is sold, and so equivalent substitute can be located. This home is for sale. The owners will provide a full refund should the home sell, for events outside 90 days. Withing 30-90 days, the owners will provide a 150% refund of event venue fees, only. Any events within 30 days will be included with the escrow. 3)Should the reservation be cancelled, and it can be rebooked for the same dates, and at the same rate as the cancelling reservation, a pro-rata refund may also be made if a partial number of days, or lower rental rate is confirmed. A rebooking fee of $300 will be charged and paid to Maile for any changes in the initial reservation after the retainer contract is signed.
The rental fee is for use of the property and does not include tables, chairs, tents or catering services.
DEPOSITS: Upon your initial acceptance of the terms of our Use Agreement, a retainer fee equal to 50% of your agreed venue fee, plus cleaning and tax is requested to hold the date and time of the event. We request full payment 90 days prior to the event.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: * For groups wanting to host an event greater than 50 guests and wanting to include a seated meal, the Mahakea Villa II must be rented in tandem, and both lawn spaces used. * All Tenting and Equipment are to be rented through Pacific Party Rentals. Any exceptions must be made in advance, and verified in writing with Maile Hawaii. * A certificate of event liability insurance naming the owners and Maile Weddings as insured to 1m is also required. Detailed information will be provided. A typical policy cost for groups of 150 may be $150. * An alcohol rider must be purchased if alcohol is to be served, no exceptions. All Caterers must provide proof of a State of Hawaii issued alcohol license if alcohol is to be served. * All Professional Vendors must carry Event Liability Insurance, naming the Owner and Maile and named insured for the day of the Event, and have an active State of Hawaii business license. * Both the above are to be provided to Maile Weddings 30 days prior to the Event. * An outside Bartending Service may be engaged, but this does not exempt client from providing a copy the above license upon payment of their Damage Deposit. * For vacation rentals - a Damage Deposit of $5000 is due one month prior to your Event, and will be refunded within 15 days following the Event, provided the home is left in the condition in which it is found. This may be paid via check, cashier's check, or wire transfer. * Client is responsible to make certain that their Wedding Planner or Caterer remove all rubbish from the home, upon completion of the Event. * All set-up and tear down of Tenting and Equipment must take place on the same day as the Event, unless the home is being rented for an extended period. Any exceptions to this rule must be approved by Maile as agents for the owners/management in writing.
The cancellation policy is detailed above and in the Use Agreement. A damage deposit of $5000. is due one month in advance of the event. No events will be premitted to proceed without payment of the damage deposit.Payments may be made by cash, check, or money order. Maile does not accept credit cards for payment at this time.
